Fantasy Football Culture is special. It’s an obsession, a hobby, and an attitude. We cultivate it as we talk about all things fantasy football or fantasy sports — whether it’s on TV, online, or any part of the fantasy football league experience.

    Pay your dues…or else

Don’t be a douche. Fantasy football season is well underway. If you haven’t already, it’s time to pay your dues to your league commish…or maybe the collector will find you?

Sure, the video’s a little goofy, but it is important to pay your dues. Bugging people to pay up might be the worst thing about being commissioner of a fantasy football league unless you still have trade vetoes.

If you really have issues, you might give a service like Crowdtilt a try. The big advantage of Crowdtilt is that it requires every member of the league to pay before prize money can be paid out, which means your entire league will put pressure on those stragglers instead of just you as the commish.

    Not a bad trick, right?

The League gets Xed to FXX

    by  • August 14, 2013 • Culture • 0 Comments

The League is moving to FX’s new channel for the 18-34 demographic with a “cutting-edge DIY look,” FXX. I think it’s still acceptable for ages 34 and over to watch, so make sure to change your DVRs before the season premiere on Sept. 4.

The online savvy should also note that FX has changed all of The League’s social media channels to correspond with the FXX change. For example, you’ll now find the Twitter feed at @TheLeagueFXX.

In the meantime, enjoy these promos created to let everyone know about the channel change, starring NFL players on the move this offseason, Josh Cribbs, Greg Jennings, and Dwight Freeney, as well as a couple staying put, Jay Cutler and J.J. Watt.
