That is frustrating, but in the playoffs, the best team doesn't always win. In one of my three leagues in which I made the playoffs, the lowest seed beat the No. 1 seed team and then my No. 2 seed team to win the championship. Sometimes luck is on the other side, I guess.

Thanks, Crystal. Well, sorry to hear about your championship loss, but it sounds like you are on the right track. You'll get that win eventually. Thanks for sharing your take on the league amounts. I think I'm going to try to get down to three next season. We'll see how it goes.

Hey Jacob, played in five leagues this year too and got to the playoffs in three, but all got knocked out at the penultimate stage! Aggravating!

I have enjoyed reading your column and appreciate your patient advice. This year I only played in two leagues. In prior years I have played in more but found it to be too much. Two is just about right. I missed winning by championship by two lousy points but it's the 3rd year in a row I made it to the SuperBowl so that's not bad. And Chris Johnson was my #1 draft pick.
