[...] Martin Gramatica, K Saints vs. Raiders — Okay, this one is just a joke. Gramatica is on IR, but his injury is probably more to his pride and reputation than his leg. Looks like I was right in thinking he would be gone by Friday. [...]

@Brian Bille:

Glad you enjoyed the read, Brian. It's always a challenge to splatter my thoughts on a page/screen without being distracted by shiny objects.

I didn't have a good feeling about Santonio to start the season. In this third year, he should be breaking out, but if you read my article on the third-year WR theory this offseason, you know I don't necessarily believe in it.

I thought the Steelers would return to the run game this season with Parker and Mendenhall and reduce Holmes' touches, but despite the productivity in the passing game, Holmes has taken a back seat. Either Big Ben's arm/shoulder isn't quite healthy enough to heave it out to Holmes several times each game or, in a pinch, the team looks to Ward and not Holmes. In the close ones they have had this season, the Steelers seem to lean on Ward to make the play rather than giving Holmes a chance.

I don't like him moving forward, but he still has a great deal of upside/potential.

Great post, very entertaining to read and you hit it dead on with just about every thought. What's up with Santonio this season? Seriously?
