Week 8 Pickups: What can Bryce Brown do for you?

Amazingly, it’s another good week for the running back needy, and some of you likely lost your starters this week with C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson going down. I would have hoped you’d replace Spiller by now, but I know it’s hard to give up on those preseason plans.

I’ll typically assume most previous pickup suggestions┬áhave been secured in your league each week, but be sure to snag any Giants receivers that are available as they go on bye this week. That offense could get back on track when next we see them take the field.

I’d also prioritize Branden Oliver over this entire list, despite his somewhat disappointing performance against the Chiefs, who are playing better than most are giving them credit.

Week 7 Pickups: Andre Holmes needs a home on you roster

I’m enjoying riding the Branden Oliver train after his performance in Week 6. While he didn’t do as well as he did in Week 5, he held up well as a feature back with 30 carries. I’ll take that all day until Ryan Mathews returns.

Ben Tate, Branden Oliver, and Ronnie Hillman have all proved their worth at this point. Andre Williams will need another week to see if the Giants offensive line will show up for him. Keep your eye on Mark Ingram, who should return to his leading role for the Saints this week as long as his health cooperates. Isaiah Crowell is also on my radar in a big way after he got the lone RB2 touches for the Browns this week behind Ben Tate. All of these guys should be owned in all leagues. Continue reading
